Make a Difference Day
New Market is a small town with a big heart. So big in fact that the New Market Foundation has created a "Make a Difference Day" because so many want to see this community looking great! Volunteers will gather to make a difference for those who can't do their home maintenance work alone.
The day, officially created by the Housing Committee of the New Market Foundation, will connect volunteers with local projects - helping to do odd jobs and clean up around the area. Volunteers are needed to rake, clean, trim bushes, paint and much more!
In addition to this new initiative, the committee is gearing up to announce a bigger project aimed at removing old houses and buildings to make way for new homes in the town.
